About Gary
I'm a retiree in Naples, Florida. My job isn't to impress you with jargon — it's to help retirees and seniors use ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools with confidence, especially when the topic is health, money, or something technical.
Why I'm comfortable with complicated topics
My path wasn't a straight line from “tech guy” to “AI teacher.” It started with science and clinical work — learning how evidence is produced, how labs operate, and how important it is to explain things clearly when someone's health or decisions are on the line.
- B.A. in Biology — SUNY Buffalo
- M.A. in eCommerce — University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly UMUC)
- Medical Corpsman - USAR
- Laboratory technician — hands-on experience with clinical and analytical lab work
- 30 years at Becton Dickinson — translating complex science and product information into language customers, clinicians, and colleagues could actually use
That mix — biology, disciplined clinical training, lab precision, and business communication — is why I focus so much on plain English AI help for retirees: better prompts, clearer answers, and better questions for your doctor or advisor, not pretending AI replaces them.
What I'm doing now
After I retired, neighbors kept saying the same thing: AI looked useful, but they didn't know where to start. So I started walking people through ChatGPT, Claude, and practical AI prompts — patiently, safely, without judgment. Today that work includes this site, the free guide, webinars, and one-on-one sessions.
